Suicide Prevention Project

For my suicide prevention project I decided to use hands as my symbol because we can all lend a hand to those in need. I had a challenge with the quotes I had in mind because they were based on suicide but some of the words I wanted to use weren't appropriate for this project like the word death or kill wouldn't be appropriate or nice to say. But then I emailed Kristen she helped me decide a good quote and I like the quote I used a lot because I wanted my quote to be something dealing with hands. So the quote I chose was "As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others and this quote was said by Audrey Hepburn. This quote has a very huge impact because people can help others with their hands as well as help themselves.

Completed Game Tutorial

For my video I tried making another version of the Scary Maze Game. I have not finished making my scary maze game because I had a hard time figuring out how to use flash. I almost finished but I didn't finish making the end mark and the the surprise picture in the end. The most challenging part of my game was learning to use flash and how everything works because I have never made a video game before. As well as learning how to make a play button but now I know how to make it and enjoy helping others with making their play button. I would like to learn more on how to make video games and how to do more with flash and I know I will if having to create another video game but for now I am trying to finish this one. I chose the scary maze game because I know others like to scare people with this game but then again mines will be very different from the original game. I plan on learning more on making video games  so when I get into college this summer I can already have experience and expand more on what I already know as well as getting a good job with having good computer experience. Im not really a fan of making video games but I know if I learn more about them and more people come to see what I will be capable of I will have a good job and get paid good money. Video games and technology are a big deal in our world today because people set their lives all around technology.  My plan now is to finish my 1st video game and try to get more help from others around me and if they cant help me i'll get Mr.Mutters help.The website to get to my video game is http://megaswf.com/serve/2410398

Suicide Prevention Proposal

For my new project on suicide prevention proposal I plan on doing a poster. I want to advertise how to prevent suicide and help those having suicidal thoughts to SPEAK and know that their are people their that can help them. My main message is on the role of preventing it and the signs of knowing whats going on when people are having these kind of thoughts. I also would like for others to know the main way people are doing this and how we can be a good friend and help them stop and think before they take action. Also setting out ways to get helps and making it loud and clear for others.

Propaganda Poster

When I first seen the invisible children it really caught my attention because I seen these poor young African children suffering and having to deal with losing their parents and other family members. Then this movie came out called Kony 2012 and it was about the man who pretty much started all this stuff and who is in charge of all of the things going on in Africa. After I seen this movie it really hit the heart and made me think like what is this man thinking hat is causing him to do this to people and why does he treat people like this?Has he had something happen in his home life or something traumatic happen for him to do this but of course we will never know that. Then when my teacher said we would have to make a poster it really had me think because this movie was so intense and really affects our people and population today. So I made this poster and my poster is based on stopping Kony 2012 and I used the Uganda flag to represent Africa and it means a lot because this is the place he is destroying people at. Also I used a picture of Kony and put color on his skin to represent Uganda and what he's destroying.I used a lot of red because it represents the blood shed from the peoples. I want this world to change and its starts now by getting rid of the ones killing and hurting other people. STOP KONY 2012. . .

Stop KONY 2012

Today we watched the movie Kony 2012 in Multimedia class and this was a really inspirational movie. This movie was basically about a man named Joseph Kony and he is the man thats forcing young children to kill as well as using young girl to be sex slaves. A protest is now going on and this is to make Kony "Famous". People are now demanding Justice and want to change everything for the people in Africa. Around the world today the word is to be spread and we have reached the point where everything we do has an affect on people. Children shouldn't have to live in fear and one quote that got to me most was "A better world is coming but its waiting for us to stop at nothing."

Song Reflection 1

My schedule just changed to Multimedia with Mr.Mutter because I needed this class to graduate and it was the only credit I was missing. I started this class Tuesday February 22, 2012 and so far I like it because I have an interest in the project we are doing right now. We had the option to make a song or do a video parody with a group. The group I chose to join is making a song and its a break up song called "Fragments Of My Life". Im in a group with Keyona and Daynesah. I like this song because its something many people can relate to especially when they have just recently gotten out of a tough relationship. Along with working with my group I have been working with other groups and are working on editing the lyrics and they want me to sing for them. In my group I sang the chorus. Our song is done now and it turned out really nice.
